Accessibility
Everyone should be able to use this.
A mortgage is one of the biggest decisions you will make. Nobody should be shut out of the information because of how they browse.
If anything here is hard to use, call us
You do not have to fill in a form or explain yourself. If a page will not work for you, or you would rather have the information read to you, a person will walk you through it and answer the same questions the site would have.

The standard we aim at
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most commonly applied to public websites in the United States. We do not claim to have met every criterion on every page. Where we fall short, we would rather say so and fix it than claim otherwise.
What we have done
- Every image carries a text description for screen readers.
- Every page declares its language, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Buttons that show only an icon carry a text label for assistive technology.
- A "skip to content" link lets keyboard users jump past the navigation.
- Keyboard focus is visible, so you can always see where you are when tabbing.
- Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for less motion.
- Our calculators work without a mouse and are usable from the keyboard.
Where we know we have work to do
Accessibility is not a box to tick once. We review pages as we build them, and this page will change as we go. Known areas we are still working on:
- Color contrast on a few secondary text styles.
- Screen-reader announcements when calculator results update live.
- Documents we link to that were produced by third parties.
Why there is no accessibility overlay on this site
You may have seen small floating widgets on other sites offering to adjust contrast or font size. We have deliberately not installed one. There is broad agreement among accessibility experts, and among people who actually use screen readers, that these overlays do not make a site usable and can interfere with the assistive technology someone already relies on. We would rather fix the site than place a widget on top of it.
Tell us when we get it wrong
If you hit a barrier here, we want to know — not as a complaint, as a bug report. Use the phone number or email above and we will respond.
